Help keep the towpath clear

We often see comments about the vegetation on the Montgomery Canal towpath and how it can impede enjoyment of the canal. Could you volunteer to help keep them clear?

A cut above the rest

Four members of the TRAMPS group recently attended a Lantra small tree felling and crosscutting course run by Phil Dunford Chainsaw Training.

The team were keen to gain the Lantra qualifications so that they would be able to quickly and safely remove dangerous and fallen trees on the canal for Canal & River Trust. They had to fund the course fees themselves but felt it was worth doing for such a very valuable qualification.
