We are pleased to announce that further progress has been made to enable the start of the restoration of Schoolhouse Bridge, near Crickheath.
There is now a CRT notice indicating their intention to dispose of charity property, thereby transferring a few square yards to Shropshire Council.

This will allow a three-way agreement with Shropshire Council and Montgomery Canal Restoration Ltd, to restore the bridge and allow surface water to drain into the canal. There will be a period of waiting time until the expiry of the notice in early August but this is another brick in the wall of the bridge.
