Popular Montgomery Canal trips to restart

The popular trip boat George Watson Buck based on the Montgomery Canal in Llanymynech is due to restart 30 minute trips between England and Wales on 5th May 2024 following a successful survey of the boat.

Based at the Llanymynech Wharf Visitor Centre in the Limeworks Heritage Area in Llanymynech, the boat trips are ideal for visitors to the area to get a sense of the heritage and wildlife of the Montgomery Canal.

Help keep the towpath clear

We often see comments about the vegetation on the Montgomery Canal towpath and how it can impede enjoyment of the canal. Could you volunteer to help keep them clear?
