We can offer enjoyable and informative group visits to Llanymynech Canal Wharf. Our Visitor Centre is a great place to host small meetings and events in a historic location.
The lovely George Watson Buck narrowboat is an ideal venue for small groups who would like to get afloat to experience the Montgomery Canal.
If you arrange events for local schools, charities or other groups, the George Watson Buck is available to hire for a single trip or for a longer period.
With a maximum group size of 12, the boat is an ideal venue for a birthday party, small business meeting or family gathering. We have arranged trips for birthday groups, schools, pre-school groups and care homes in the past and the George Watson Buck can be your floating classroom or relaxation space.
We have a wheelchair lift and space for two people who use a wheelchair on board. And on nice days, passengers are very welcome to sit or stand on deck to enjoy the views and to spot the wildlife.
Including a trip along the canal, our prices are £45 for the 30 minute trip or £95 for half a day, which includes the trip, tea and coffee in the Visitor Centre and the opportunity for you to use the boat to meet, socialise or as a base to explore the wonderful Llanymynech Heritage Area.
