Are you a member of the friends of the Montgomery canal? If so you are invited to their AGM on Saturday 1 March 2025.
The Friends of the Montgomery Canal – or Friends as we like to call them – is the membership section of Montgomery Waterway Restoration Trust.
The Friends’ Annual General Meeting will be held at 3pm in the COWSHACC Hall, Welshpool on Saturday 1st March.
After the formal business of the meeting and a review of restoration progress that’s currently taking place on the Montgomery Canal, there will be light refreshments and Colin Balls FRPS, an award-winning photographer, will show a variety of AV presentations and video films on an ‘aquatic’ theme, including of Wigan Pier on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
COWSHACC Hall is on Oldford Lane, Welshpool SY21 7TE (What3Words:

It is at the top of Berriew Street carpark, which
is close to the crossroads in the centre of Welshpool near to the
Poundland store at the Berriew Street entrance. There are plenty of
pay and display spaces in the car park.
